License: a seat per device, status in plain sight.

The License page shows customer information, usage model, purchased disk, validity, and device quota at a glance. Modules (Hotspot, Wi-Fi, 5651) and the seat status of every device are listed separately.

  • Annual seat per device
  • Hotspot, Wi-Fi, and 5651 module flags
  • Collection and archiving continue even on unlicensed devices

Sections on the License page

  1. Top status badge: the license's validity status (e.g., "Valid") with a refresh button in the top right.
  2. Info cards: Customer name, Usage Model (e.g., an "İzHost Cloud" badge), Purchased Disk (total GB, live/archive share), Validity (e.g., "Unlimited"), and Device Quota (used/total seats, with a bar showing the fill ratio).
  3. Modules: Hotspot, Wi-Fi, and 5651 badges; each shows a checkmark when active.
  4. Devices table: Name, Driver, and Licensed columns; each device row has a toggle showing whether its license seat is on or off.
What can you do?

License model and modules

A seat per device

A license is defined as an annual seat per firewall device. In an on-premises deployment, the key is entered under Settings > License; in the cloud, the seat count is set automatically based on your purchased plan.

Module flags

The Hotspot (guest Wi-Fi), Wi-Fi, and 5651 modules are turned on/off with separate flags; which modules are active is shown with badges on the License page.

Cloud vs. on-premises

With İzHost Cloud (panel.izgate.com), the plan equals device quota plus total disk; in an on-premises (IzGate License) deployment, the Docker stack runs on your own server and the license key is entered in the panel.

License statuses

Every status the panel shows

Status Meaning
validLicense is valid; every feature is unlocked.
devDevelopment license; not present in customer builds.
missingNo key has ever been entered.
invalidThe license server rejected the key (expired, revoked, over quota, etc.).
unreachableThe license server cannot be reached; the panel keeps working through a 3-day countdown grace period, then locks once it expires.
suspended (cloud only)Tenant suspended: portal and panel display are disabled, collection continues.
disabled (cloud only)Tenant disabled: login and existing sessions are rejected, data is not deleted.
Log collection and archiving continue even when unlicensed or invalid; only search, statistics, and device metrics are hidden, and the guest portal shows a "license required" error. No record is ever lost.
How does it work?

Activating your license

1

Choose a model

Buy İzHost Cloud from izgate.com; for an on-premises deployment, request your license key.

2

Enter the key

On-premises, enter the key under Settings > License; in the cloud, the license opens automatically once the order is confirmed.

3

Assign seats to devices

A free seat is assigned automatically when a device is added in the panel; track status from the device list on the License page.

Good to know

Limits, honestly

When the central license server cannot be reached, the panel offers a 3-day countdown grace period; it keeps working during that time and locks once it expires. An explicit "invalid" response locks it immediately.
The suspended and disabled statuses apply only to İzHost Cloud tenants; an on-premises deployment does not have these two statuses.
Frequently asked questions

About the License

How is the license priced?

As an annual seat per firewall device; module flags (Hotspot, Wi-Fi, 5651) determine which features are included in the license.

If I'm left unlicensed, do my logs disappear?

No. Log collection and archiving continue when unlicensed or invalid; only search, statistics, device metrics, and the guest portal screens are disabled.

What happens if the license server can't be reached?

The panel offers a 3-day countdown grace period and keeps working normally during that time; it locks once the period expires.

What's the difference between İzHost Cloud and an on-premises license?

With İzHost Cloud, the account and tenant open automatically once an order is placed, and the plan is device quota plus disk. In an on-premises deployment, the license key is entered manually under Settings > License, and the stack runs on your own server.

If my tenant is suspended (cloud only), is data deleted?

No. In the suspended status, portal and panel display are disabled but collection continues; in the disabled status, login and existing sessions are rejected, but data is not deleted, as required under Law No. 5651.
